Pownal selectmen will meet Monday, Oct. 20, at 7:30 p.m., at Mallett Hall.

The Planning Board will meet Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m., in Mallett Hall.

The Planning Board has also scheduled on ordinance review workshop of single lot and road ordinances, Tuesday, Oct. 21, from 8-9:30 a.m.,at Mallett Hall, Old Selectmen’s Office. All Planning Board meetings, onsite inspections and workshops are open to the public.

Potluck supper

The North Pownal Community Club, 857 Lawrence Road in Pownal, is having a potluck supper on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 5:30 p.m. The public is always welcome. Bring a food item to share, as well as plate, cup and utensils. Those who attend can see the many recent improvements to the building. For more information, call Alan or Sue Bradstreet at 688-4728.

Harvest supper Oct. 11

The North Pownal United Methodist Church, 851 Lawrence Road, will host a harvest supper on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 4:30-6 p.m. On the menu are ham, harvest vegetables, potatoes, roll, beverage and dessert. Tickets are $8 for those 13 and older, $4 for children 4-12 and free for children 3 and younger. For more information, call Kim at 865-3517.

Beans, spaghetti

On Saturday, Oct. 18, the First Parish Congregational Church 422 Hallowell Road, Pownal, will be hosting a baked bean and spaghetti supper, with settings at 5 and 6 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children 5-12 and free for children under 5. To reserve your tickets, call Lois at 688-4433. This is the final supper of the season.

Christmas fair

The North Pownal United Methodist Church is hosting a Christmas Fair on Dec. 5 and 6 at the church, and there are a limited amount of rental tables available. The rental fee is $25 per table.
