Running With Scissors, an artist co-op in Portland’s Bayside neighborhood, will host “The Makers Meal” from 5 to 9 p.m. Oct. 16, a five-course chef and beer dinner in the gallery, with locally sourced food, beverages and handmade goods. Proceeds will benefits the makers and crafters who provide the food and drink, as well as the home goods that are used to service the meal.
Bread & Butter Catering Company, with chefs Jeff and Katie Shier-Potocki, will curate a tasting menu paired with local brews by Rising Tide, PEAK Organic, Bunker Brewing, Urban Farm Fermentory and Allagash. The meal will be served to tables laden with plates, serving pieces, linens and vases handmade by local artists and artisans, surrounded by a space filled with art pieces and furniture.
Tickets are $75 per person for the meal. For $125, diners receive a meal and a commemorative art piece. VIP tickets also are available for $250.
