Boys
Matt Pisini, Greely football: Pisini, a quarterback, passed for four touchdowns and 310 yards as the Rangers beat Westbrook 31-6 to improve to 3-1 in Western Class B. He completed 13 of 18 passes and rushed for 56 yards. Pisini was named the team’s starting quarterback last season as a sophomore.
Honorable mention
Harry Baker-Connick, Waynflete soccer: Baker-Connick scored the Flyers’ first goal in a comeback 2-2 tie against Yarmouth, then added both goals in a 2-0 victory against Poland as Waynflete improved to 5-1-1 and also into third place in the Western Class C Heal point standings.
Simon Trcka, Thornton Academy soccer: Trcka scored two goals in a 4-2 victory against Marshwood and both goals in a 2-0 win over Cheverus as the Golden Trojans (6-1-1) won their sixth straight game.
Drew Kane, Scarborough golf: Kane shot a pair of 34s over the past week to lower his stroke average this season in nine-hole matches to 36.4. In 81 holes this season, Kane has made only two double bogeys.
Girls
Tyler Spence, Falmouth soccer: After scoring three goals and an assist in a 5-0 victory against Poland, Spence added two assists in a 3-2 overtime win against previously unbeaten Greely. Her cross set up Georgia Babikian for the winning goal.
Honorable mention
Katherine Kirk, Scarborough soccer: Kirk had hat tricks in two games, and a goal and an assist in another as the Red Storm rolled to three lopsided Western Class A victories.
Abby Walker, Scarborough field hockey: Walker scored the winner in overtime in a 1-0 win over Thornton Academy last Friday, and then had two assists in a 5-0 win over Westbrook on Tuesday.
Libby Ouellette, Mt. Ararat soccer: Ouellette scored all three goals in a 3-1 victory at Oxford Hills and then had the only goal in a 2-1 loss to Bangor, which is the top-ranked team in Eastern Class A.
