Portland police officers and a Westbrook police dog are tracking two suspects who authorities say mugged a man Tuesday night in Portland’s West End neighborhood.

Lt. Robert Ridge said a man was walking along Brackett Street when two black males – each one was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and khaki-colored shorts – approached him, and punched and kicked him.

They stole the man’s wallet and ran in the direction of Carleton Street. There was no indication that either suspect was armed.

Ridge said the victim did not need to be hospitalized. The incident was reported at 9:03 p.m.
