I have a suggestion for Mike Michaud and Eliot Cutler on what to do if Republican Gov. Paul LePage decides not to show for the gubernatorial debates.

Rather than give LePage the advantage by being negative toward one another in the debates, stay issue-oriented and positive toward one another and spend time explaining why either (Michaud, the Democratic candidate, or Cutler, the independent) would be a better governor than LePage.

Just a thought.
