
She attended Brunswick High School, graduating in 1963. Barbara was en employee of Health-Tex, The Times Record and Hannaford’s in Brunswick.
Hobbies she enjoyed were crafting, playing solitaire, collecting recipes and cooking. She was also a member of the St.John’s Church in Brunswick.
Barbara is survived by her sons Mark of Sabattus, James of Bowdoin and grandson Corey Taker- Laberge of Brunswick. Other survivors include Arlene Cloutier (niece) of Topsham, sister Carole Brown of Orr’s Island, sister Joan Sweetser of Boston, Mass., and Sandra Labbe (niece) and partner Joyce Crossman, along with other nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sisters Rynell Labbe, Pat Ingerson, Ione Ullrich and brothers Freeland Labbe and Laurel Blanchette.
A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at the Topsham Grange Hall, 47 Pleasant St., Topsham at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, Mass. 02284.
