Saco police have made an arrest in the robbery of a Rite Aid pharmacy last week.

Police said Scott J. McMahon, 32, of Lackawanna, New York, was arrested just before noon Friday.

The Main Street pharmacy was robbed at about 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 10. Police said the man who robbed the store did not show a gun and ran from the store with an undisclosed amount of drugs.

A dog was brought in to try to track the robber, but the trail ran out near Ocean Park Road.

Deputy Police Chief Jeffrey Holland said McMahon had been staying in the Roadway Inn, which is on Ocean Park Road. McMahon was arrested at the motel.

McMahon was unable to post the $10,000 bail and is being held at the York County Jail in Alfred, Saco police said. He is scheduled to appear in York County Superior Court on Oct. 30.
