Staff Photographer Yoon S. Byun found beauty from a bee’s-eye view with his macro lens at the Portland Farmers’ Market in Monument Square on a recent Wednesday, capturing not only the moonscape of a cucumber rind and the glistening eye of a watermelon seed, but also the warm gold of a tenor saxophone key pressed by Nate Schee, 16, of Belgrade as he played the “Pink Panther Theme” for marketgoers’ listening pleasure.
