The Portland Sea Dogs have moved the start of Saturday’s playoff game at Hadlock Field to noon, because of heavy rain forecast for later in the day. The game was to have started at 6 p.m.

“The forecast for Saturday evening calls for rain and thunderstorms,” Sea Dogs General Manager Geoff Iacuessa said in press release. “Changing the game time to a 12:00 noon start gives us the best chance to get the game in without affecting the remainder of the Eastern League playoff schedule.”

The best-of-five Eastern Division playoff series between the Sea Dogs and Binghamton Mets is tied 1-1 as the series heads to Portland for Game 3 Friday at 6 p.m. Game 5, if necessary, is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday.
