Kathryn Clark, Cape Elizabeth senior, forward: A smart player who can create for herself or find the open spaces. The All-Telegram pick captains the defending Class B champs.

Tori Daigle, Thornton Academy senior, forward: Combines with Haley DeGraca to form dynamic duo of scorers. Daigle had 12 goals and 11 assists in All-Western Class A junior season.

Abby Dubois, Old Orchard Beach senior, forward: One of the top goal-scorers in Class C for three seasons, the speedy Dubois scored 16 times in 2013, giving her 42 in her career.

Shannon Fallon, Yarmouth senior, goalkeeper: A four-year starter and “fantastic leader,” according to Coach Rich Smith, she is expected to be one of the top goalies.

Ashley Gleason, Scarborough senior, midfielder: The offense runs through Gleason and she set a school record with 11 assists (and scored five goals) as a junior, earning Maine Soccer Coaches Association (MSCA) West All-State honors.

Abby Goodrich, Cheverus senior, midfield: Two-year captain for the Stags, the York resident with premier club team experience scored four goals with three assists last season.

Emily Gould, Oceanside senior, midfield: First-team all-KVAC player is a player “pretty much everything runs through,” said Coach Darryl Townsend, and will lead a younger team that expects to stay in Eastern B’s top four.

Emma Gutheinz, Camden Hills junior, forward: After 15-goal sophomore season that earned All-East B and KVAC first-team honors, club player could be even stronger for one of Eastern B’s top teams.

Juliana Harwood, Waynflete senior, goalkeeper: As impressive a resume as any goalie with state titles in 2012 and 2013, and 22 shutouts in three seasons.

Kate Hopkins, Gorham senior, midfield: An outside midfielder who produces top-level crosses with both feet, and can also take the ball to the goal and score.

Izzy Hutnak, Greely junior, forward: A versatile player who can also play midfield, Hutnak scored 13 goals with six assists as an All-Western B coaches’ pick in 2013.

Marissa Martel, Westbrook senior, forward: A four-year starter, Martel scored seven goals last season despite being slowed after ACL surgery. Fully healthy, Martel combines with Sophie Manning as a dual threat.

Jocelyn Mitiguay, Greely junior, midfield: Regarded by several coaches as one of top players in the Western Maine Conference, scored 14 goals with six assists as an All-Western B sophomore.

Lexi Nason, Thornton Academy junior, goalkeeper: Athletic, with good feet, Nason is already one of the top goalies in the SMAA.

Torri Pelletier, Mt. Ararat junior, forward: Part of a strong returning core for Eastern A runner-up, Pelletier’s combination of skill and effort resulted in 12 goals with six assists in a 14-3 season.
Samantha Robinson, York senior, back: A three-year starter at sweeper uses her speed, toughness and ability to read plays as the essential part of the Wildcats’ defense.

Lydia St. Pierre, Marshwood senior, forward: A fleet finisher, St. Pierre scored 17 goals last season and was a second-team All-SMAA pick.

Ann Marie Seiler, Biddeford junior, goalkeeper: The Tigers were the surprise team in 2013, with 10 regular-season wins and a prelim victory. With experience and success, Seiler is improved and anchors a solid returning defense.

Jenna Soucy, Windham senior, forward: One of the top scorers in the state with 23 goals as a junior, the all-stater is ably assisted by junior threat Cierra Berthiaume.

Sam Sparda, Scarborough senior, back: Always a tough defender, Sparda takes over control of the defense with the graduation of all-stater Ainsley Jamieson. At midfield, Sparda had five goals and three assists in 2013.

Tyler Spence, Falmouth junior, midfield: Strong overall presence and creative spark for a youthful team looking to surpass last year’s run to the Western A semifinal.

Cassie Symonds, Windham senior, midfield: Telegram and Gatorade Player of the Year scored nine goals with six assists on talent-laden team and impressed even more with tenacious full-field play.

Oriana Smith, Portland senior, back: The Bulldogs could be a team to make a move and having Smith back after recovering from a knee injury last season is key.

Miracle Trimble, Morse senior, forward: Followed up her 32-goal sophomore explosion with an 11-goal, four-assist season and with 47 career goals should cross the 50-goal barrier this year as a leader of a veteran squad.
