Longtime Current Publishing employee Robert Lowell threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Monday night’s Portland Sea Dogs game at Hadlock Field. Lowell, a Gorham native, has worked for 14 years as a reporter for the American Journal, which covers Buxton, Gorham and Westbrook. The evening was entitled Cumberland County Family Night and was sponsored by Current Publishing, which published four community newspapers and several magazines in southern Maine. Lowell said of his pitch, “I felt honored to represent Current Publishing, and it’s been a long time since I threw a baseball.”
