LONDON — Amy Winehouse is to be commemorated with a statue in the London neighborhood where she lived and worked. The late singer’s family says the statue will be unveiled in Camden Town on Sept. 14, her 31st birthday.

The bronze likeness by Scott Eaton will stand in Camden’s bustling market, which draws tourists from around the world.

It had initially been slated for outside the nearby Roundhouse concert hall. But the singer’s father, Mitch Winehouse, said Thursday that the new site would be more accessible for fans.
