SCARBOROUGH – On Wednesday, Aug. 20, Scarborough police arrested a registered sex offender from Biddeford for violating the conditions of his probation when he accessed the public computers at the Scarborough Public Library.

According to a press release issued by the police department, Melvin Logan, 73, who was convicted of possession of child pornography, was seen by detectives entering the library and was then discovered using a library computer. Logan is also now prohibited from entering the library under threat of criminal trespass charges.
