This photograph from the Press Herald print archives shows Portland’s skyline as seen from Payson Park, looking across Back Cove, in 1971. The photograph was taken to illustrate a news story about the newly built Casco Bank and Trust Co. building, the 10-story high-rise behind Portland High School in the center of the historic photo.
