After losing their beloved friend and team captain Angela Black to breast cancer in 2012, Team Angela continues to fight for a cure and will hold a silent and live auction fundraising event on Aug. 21 at the Bath Golf Club.
“Get Your Pink On” will run from 4- 9 p. m. at the country club, located at 387 Whiskeag Road in Bath.
All money raised is donated to The Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing in Lewiston, for The Dempsey Challenge that Team Angela will be participating in for the fifth year on Sept. 27.

“We do this in memory of her and want to help others fighting the same battle she did,” stated Team Angela in a press release.
Auction items range from photography sessions, restaurant and hair salon gift certificates to custom jewelry and much more: “ There is something for everyone.”
Max Ater will provide entertainment and comedian John Ater will serve as emcee for the night. Also available are appetizers, cocktails, a cash bar and dinner.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
