BATH

After losing their beloved friend and team captain Angela Black to breast cancer in 2012, Team Angela continues to fight for a cure and will hold a silent and live auction fundraising event on Aug. 21 at the Bath Golf Club.

“Get Your Pink On” will run from 4- 9 p. m. at the country club, located at 387 Whiskeag Road in Bath.

All money raised is donated to The Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing in Lewiston, for The Dempsey Challenge that Team Angela will be participating in for the fifth year on Sept. 27.

Black died two years ago Aug.16, losing her 5-year battle with cancer at age 39.

“We do this in memory of her and want to help others fighting the same battle she did,” stated Team Angela in a press release.

Auction items range from photography sessions, restaurant and hair salon gift certificates to custom jewelry and much more: “ There is something for everyone.”

Max Ater will provide entertainment and comedian John Ater will serve as emcee for the night. Also available are appetizers, cocktails, a cash bar and dinner.
