BRUNSWICK — Sean Webster, 25, of Brunswick was arrested at 12:16 p.m. July 25 at Hannaford on Elm Street after police were told that an individual was found in the men’s bathroom smoking and with several hypodermic needles.
Webster, who told police he was diabetic, was charged with unlawful possession of Klonopin, a scheduled Z drug, that is typically prescribed to treat seizures and panic disorders.
He was also arrested on a warrant out of Cumberland County for failing to pay fines for trafficking in prison contraband. Bail for the warrant was set at $95, and Webster is due to appear Sept. 16 in West Bath District Court.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
