
On Feb. 18, 1977, he married his first wife Lorainne Mailly. He later married his second wife Brenda Groves. He worked at Bath Iron Works and later worked at Bowdoin College.
He enjoyed lobster fishing, ice fishing, and anything to do with being on a boat on the water. He loved spending time with his three grandkids and loved watching his grandson Damien play football and baseball and watching him ride dirt bikes. He loved playing with the little ones, watching how they grew.
Surviving are sons Donald Dean Weed Jr. and Phillip Charles Weed; his brother Louis Catlin and sister Sally Weed; grandkids Damien and Courtny and Savana.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 23 at 2 p.m. at the Bath Golf Club, 387 Whiskeag Road.
