RAYMOND – As part of the Raymond Village Community Concert series, pianist Dan Strange and violinist Ashley Liberty will perform a wide variety of music in concert at the Raymond Village Community Church on Sunday, July 20, beginning at 2 p.m. Ticket are $15, available by calling 939-7947.
Strange and Liberty are widely acclaimed for their skill at multiple genres of music, including jazz, blues, swing and classical, and the seamlessness and style of their play together. Both have had extensive professional careers, accompanying Broadway and classical performers such as Norm Lewis, Sutton Foster, Andrea Bocelli, Noel Paul Stookey, and Bernadette Peters.
Both Maine natives, the married couple are well known for their evocative and memorable performances during the annual American Family Holiday Concerts at Windham High School.
Now living in Miami, where Strange is an adjunct professor at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami, they have agreed to perform this benefit concert while home during their summer vacation. There will be a brief intermission with desserts and beverages served.
Raymond Village Community Concerts is an outreach program of the Raymond Village Community Church (UCC), bringing a broad variety of high-quality live musical performances to the people of Raymond Village, the Lakes Region, and southern Maine.
