LEBANON — Ethel M. Lizotte, 78, of Lebanon passed away on June 22, 2014.

She was born in Lebanon on Oct. 1, 1935 to Howard and Madeline (Maxfield) Patch.

She attended Rochester, New Hampshire schools, graduating in 1953.

On Oct. 23, 1953 she married Ernest Lizotte. They moved to Lebanon in 1959. She enjoyed being a wife and mother, raising their children. She enjoyed gardening, hunting and making maple syrup, but sewing was her passion. Ethel was an active member of her church, teaching Sunday School and Awana for more than 40 years.

After raising her family, she served as tax collector and 911 coordinator for the Town of Lebanon.

She was preceded in death by: one son, Gregory Eric Lizotte; one brother, Howard “Sonny” Patch; and one sister, Rose Beettie.

She is survived by: her husband, Ernest Lizotte of Lebanon; two daughters, Alice and her husband Bruce Earle of Sanford, and Karen and her husband Frank Smith of Sanford; sons, Ernest “Butch” and his wife Bobbie Lizotte of Lebanon, Gary and his wife Mary Lizotte of Stoneham, Massachusetts, Brian and his wife Angie Lizotte of Lebanon; her foster son, Guy and his wife Michelle Welch of Sanford; four brothers, Armand, Ronal, Robert and Michael Patch; two sisters, Mary Jones and Sylvia Arcouette; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. and immediately following the graveside service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, at the family cemetery located at 174 Emery Mills Road, Lebanon.
