The Portland Sea Dogs game with the New Britain Rock Cats on Friday has been postponed because of rain. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader Saturday, starting at 4 p.m. The gates will open at 2:30 p.m.

As announced earlier, the fireworks scheduled for Friday have been moved to Saturday, after the two games. Minor league doubleheader games are seven-innings long.

Portland is in first place in the Eastern League East Division with a 56-29 record. The Sea Dogs’ scheduled pitchers are Mike McCarthy (7-3) and Luis Diaz (2-1).
