According to Capt. Don Goulet, two Gray residents were revived Tuesday night following a heroin overdose.

At 9:45 p.m., Cumberland County dispatch received a call from a female caller reporting that she went to her son’s home on Shaker Road in Gray and found her 34-year-old son and his 38-year-old girlfriend unconscious and not breathing, Goulet said.

Gray Rescue responded with Cumberland County deputies responded and found signs of drug use in the home and determined this incident to be a heroin overdose, Goulet said.

First responders revived both individuals using Narcan. Both patients were transported to Maine Medical Center and are recovering. This incident is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office and the Maine Drug Enforcement, Goulet said.
