HARPSWELL — Verda M. Lubee, age 84, of Ash Point Road, died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Bath on Jan. 12, 1930, the daughter of John and Leslie Pierce Carter. Verda attended Brunswick schools.
Verda was a homemaker and was predeceased by her husbands Maurice King Moody Sr. in 1972 and Austin E. Lubee in 1997.
Verda enjoyed cooking and was a member of the West Harpswell Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters Barbara Lindsey of Phippsburg and Charlene Middleton of Jefferson. A son Maurice K. Moody Jr. of Harpswell. Five grandchildren Jessica Blake, Evan Moody, Jordan Moody, Shenandoah Middleton and Mariah Rackliff. Also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 1, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the West Harpswell Baptist Church with the Rev. Phil Ingle officiating. Interment was in the West Harpswell Cemetery.
