A Maine State trooper escaped injury Thursday when a wild turkey flew into the windshield of his cruiser. Trooper Tucker Bonnevie said he saw a flock of turkeys in the median of Interstate 95 in Plymouth when one of them took flight and flew into his windshield, according Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland. The impact left a large indent in the windshield on the driver’s side. The collision took place about 6:30 a.m.; damage to the cruiser was confined to the windshield.
