FREEPORT — The Freeport Economic Development Corp. is seeking to fill a vacancy on its board of directors.

Board members are nominated and elected by the existing board to three-year volunteer terms. Individuals with relevant experience and close ties to the Freeport community are encouraged to apply at freeportecon.com or by contacting Executive Director Keith McBride at 865-4743. The board hopes to have all applications submitted by April 15.

The vacancy was created when Clay Bouton, vice president at Winter People, a retail store on Route 1, recently resigned from the board. He had served on the board since 2008.
