Lots of politically incorrect translation is needed when reading Mr. Pizzigati’s advocation of raising the minimum wage to fight economic inequality. Most folks understand that people are not equal and never will be equal. Some are intelligent and some are not. Some are hard workers and some are not. Some have very demanding jobs and some do not.
Now, let’s figure this one out. A little common sense would help. If you are intelligent, hard working and have a good job, you will make money. These are the “wealthy” Americans of which he speaks. If you are not very bright, are lazy and have no job, you are at the bottom of the economic pyramid. And, Mr. Pizzigati wants government to even things out.
Again, this is simple. Just take money from those who earn it and give it to those who don’t.
Don’t forget that “minimum wage” is politically correct speak for “send jobs overseas.” Do forget that the Constitution does not allow government charity.
Democracy is a suicidal form of government wherein the stupid and lazy can vote themselves the fruits of the labors of the intelligent and industrious because they outnumber them. Guess what, they do now outnumber them.
