GARLAND (AP) — Maine State Police detectives are investigating the death of a man in the town of Garland.

State police say 62-year-old Daniel Neal was found dead Wednesday in a Garland home. WABI-TV says the Dover-Foxcroft man was reportedly staying with family.

Trooper Paul White said an autopsy is being conducted on Thursday.

White said dogs at the scene were quarantined as a precaution, but that it’s unclear if the family pets had anything to do with his death. He said the medical examiner will provide answers.
