Mugford promoted at TD Bank
Scarborough resident Dawn Mugford has been promoted to senior vice president at TD Bank in South Portland, according to a press release from the company.
In her new position, Mugford will serve as retail credit risk portfolio manager, responsible for leading a team of specialists to provide in-depth analysis for customers, evaluating the risk and performance of their retail banking portfolios.
Mugford has more than 25 years of experience in the banking field, having joined TD in 1988 in Toronto, Canada. During her time with TD, Mugford has served as a credit analyst, senior auditor, finance manager and senior credit risk manager, before moving to Maine in 2011, where she was most recently TD’s vice president of retail credit risk.
Mugford volunteers with a number of local organizations, including the Maine Cancer Foundation, Tri for a Cure, Tri-Maine and the Project Dominica Mission. She is a 1993 graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
My Sister’s Keeper to host mentor training
My Sister’s Keeper, a mentoring ministry for women in transition from corrections, will facilitate a mentor training session for interested mentors and community volunteers on Saturday, March 8, from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Cape Elizabeth United Methodist Church, Route 77, Cape Elizabeth.
My Sister’s Keeper provides mentors for women transitioning from incarceration to community. Mentors strive to empower women to make positive choices for their spiritual, physical, emotional and mental health needs. Working collaboratively with faith groups, community groups, and government agencies, the organization assists women with the resources they need and provides mentors with direction, through training, practical and emotional support.

Alzheimer’s-related financial planning workshop set
The Maine chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association will present a free legal and financial planning workshop on Tuesday, March 18, from 6-7:30 p.m. at its office at 383 U.S. Route 1, Suite 2C, Scarborough.
The program will provide information for families and individuals dealing with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. The interactive two-part program will give attendees a chance to learn about important legal and financial issues to consider, how to put plans in place, and how to access legal and financial resources.
The program will cover the following topics:
• Making legal plans that fit your needs.
• Legal documents you’ll need and what they mean for all of you.
• How to find legal and financial assistance.
• Practical strategies for making a long-term plan of care.
• Tax deductions and credits.
• Government programs that can help pay for care.

Deadline for Wet Paint Auction is March 28
The Cape Elizabeth Land Trust has begun accepting artist submissions to the organization’s seventh
annual juried Wet Paint Auction, one of Maine’s premiere art auction events. Artist entries will be juried by
Dan Kany, art historian, author, and art critic for the Maine Sunday Telegram/Portland Press Herald.
The Wet Paint Auction will be held on Sunday, July 13.
Interested artists are invited to submit two images of orginal plein-air paintings in any medium for juried consideration. Samples must be submitted as digital images on CD or electronically via email.
