One woman was hospitalized with significant injuries after a two-car crash Friday morning on West Gray Road in Gray.

Gray Fire Chief Galen Morrison said one car crossed the centerline, but it was unclear which one.

He said the roads were wet but clear, and the accident may have been caused by the weather conditions.

A sedan headed north with a male driver and female passenger collided near the Windham town line with a southbound Scion driven by a woman with no passengers around 10:24 a.m., Morrison said.

He said the female driver suffered the worst injuries, likely including broken bones, but they were not life-threatening, and she was conscious and alert. She was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Morrison said the driver and passenger in the sedan were taken to hospitals, but he wasn’t sure which ones, to be treated for minor injuries.

He did not release the names of the victims in the crash.
