It’s so hard for me to believe that this year marks our 23rd annual Christmas benefit concert at Saint Joseph’s College. This very special gathering brought kids and families together to celebrate the Christmas season and to support families in our Lakes Region who could use some help this holiday season.

I was surprised and interested to discover that many of the parents who brought their children to our concert this year actually came as children themselves a few years back. (Wow! That marks the passing of time.) Like their parents before them, they are teaching kind and caring actions to their children and showing them that they can make a positive difference in the lives of others. It was uplifting to see so many presents under the tree, knowing that they will make so many children happy on Christmas morning. Giving and sharing opens our hearts to the wonder and joy of the season. What a wonderful experience for everyone who was at the concert!

Thanks to one and all for making this such a successful event once again! I was amazed and delighted to see so many people fill the room, a standing-room-only audience this year! It was such fun to share our music and we are very grateful for all of the wonderful gifts that you contributed. All of these gifts will go to families in our communities and will add to the joy and spirit of Christmas for many.

Also thanks to my BubbleGum Band: Donna Stearns – drums, John Stuart – bass, Pat Keane – guitar and Roy Clark – keyboard. Blue Jay Light and Sound Co. – John Huntress and Jake Huntress (a SJC alumni), Frank Daggett, Kathryn Cody, Rose LeBlanc and Mary Becker – campus ministry, SJC Baseball team, the SJC Business Club – all the students, faculty and staff at Saint Joseph’s College and again to all of you who supported our effort this year in donating so many wonderful gifts. Just imagine the smiles they will bring come Christmas!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!
