Thanksgiving meal for seniors

Westbrook Senior Citizens will be served a Thanksgiving meal at noon on Monday, Nov. 18, at Westbrook Community Center, 426 Bridge St.

The menu includes roast turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, squash, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie with a whipped topping. Singer Vickie Lee will entertain.

Sappi celebrating Recycles Day

Gordon Lane, environmental, health and safety specialist at Sappi in Westbrook, said Tuesday that the company’s sustainability team is organizing a benefit to celebrate America Recycles Day.

The event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in Riverbank Park.

“We’ll be collecting used bicycles and outdoor gear including camping equipment, hiking gear, and cross country skis for the Portland Gear Hub,” Lane said. “Bicycles (will also) be donated to Westbrook High School’s WRENCH program.”

Lane said the MTG Foundation will provide youth helmets with personal fittings to promote head safety, and a family bike ride is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. For a complete list of acceptable donations, visit http://portlandgearhub.org/support/.

Trepanier, Eastman join Clark Insurance

Two Westbrook residents have joined Clark Insurance. Melissa Trepanier, a graduate of Southern Maine Community College, will serve as a business account analyst, and Robert Eastman has been named a personal insurance account manager.

Clark Insurance is an employee-owned independent insurance agency with offices in Portland, Saco, Windham and Gorham, and Manchester, N.H.

Durgin, Behnke at St. Germain Collins

St. Germain Collins in Westbrook has announced that Me?gane Durgin and Wade Behnke have joined its firm as environmental health and safety specialists.

Durgin specializes in industrial hygiene monitoring, health and safety program management and training development, job hazard analyses, and health and safety compliance. Durgin has a master’s degree in environmental health and safety engineering and a bachelor’s degree in biology and environmental sciences.

Prior to joining St. Germain Collins, she participated in several environmental and health and safety internships around the world. She is fluent in English and French.

Wade has more than 10 years of experience in the environmental health and safety field, including managing environmental programs for a variety of businesses and manufacturers.

He has a master’s degree in public health and a bachelor’s degree in biology and broad field science. Previously, he worked as an environmental engineer at a large shipyard in Maine and as an environmental compliance manager for a national delivery services company.
