The CPA Series at Saint Joseph’s College will hold a one-day workshop for certified public accountants and other financial professionals on Thursday, Nov. 14. The workshop provides eight hours of continuing education credits toward licensing requirements in addition to one credit hour of ethics.

The workshop’s theme is Tax Updates and More. Covered topics include: federal and state tax updates; the overturn of the Defense of Marriage Act; trusts and estate planning; professional ethics; the Affordable Care Act; and Medicare counseling.

The workshop will be held in the Viola George Auditorium, Harold Alfond Hall, on Saint Joseph’s Standish campus. It runs from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Check-in and a continental breakfast will occur from 7-8 a.m. Registration is $149 and includes refreshment breaks and lunch.
