To the Editor:
I will say that I never intended to vote for Mike Michaud for governor before his declaration to his sexual preference.
He is a longtime Washington spend-and-tax Democrat who supported Obamacare and was an active part in a 17-day government shutdown and NSA spying. His revelation pales in the sorry report that is Washington.
When I was in college, I had an English professor who, when a term paper was submitted, would write in large red letters WC (“who cares”) if it was not relevant to the subject.
The coming-out should have large red letters: WC.
The question is what can Michaud do for Maine? The last thing needed is a spend-and-tax administration. His announcement is far more information than needed.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
