Linda Panzera of Sebago took a photo recently of a male eagle on Sebago Lake with one of his eaglets that has gotten very big as of late. Panzera, who reports on the eagles to state wildlife officials, said eaglets still expect the parents to feed them even after they’ve gotten old enough to fend for themselves. “Just the other day we watched an eaglet fly at and hit the parent as the parent was sitting in a tree. The eaglet was squawking for food!” she said. Readers are encouraged to send their photographs of the Lakes Region to jbalentine@keepmecurrent.com.
