Business Exchange to meet
The Gorham Business Exchange will meet from 7:30-9 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Moody’s Collision Center, 200 Narragansett St., in Gorham.
The program focuses on the relationships of students and businesses. Those participating include Gorham Superintendent Ted Sharp, Gorham High School Principal Chris Record, high school co-op teacher Robert Weed, Jesse Coleman of My-FIT-24, Michelle Belhumeur of Gorham House, and Jeff Pike, business exchange secretary.

USM jazz ensemble
Melodies of Radiohead, Prince, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Joni Mitchell, and other contemporary pop and rock artists will be presented at the University of Southern Maine School of Music concert “The New Standard” at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov.15, in Corthell Concert Hall on the Gorham campus.
The concert features Brent LaCasce, university artist faculty in vocal jazz, and the university faculty jazz ensemble.

Sand for seniors
Gorham/Westbrook Triad will be supplying winter sand buckets to senior citizens.
Those interested in participating should call Capt. Tom Roth of the Westbrook Police Department at 854-2531 or officer Ted Hatch of the Gorham Police Department at 222-1681.
Triad is a collaborative effort of senior citizens, community service providers and law enforcement to promote the wellbeing and safety of seniors.
Campus tours
Tours of the University of Southern Maine campus in Gorham are available for prospective students and families from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, Nov. 16 and 23. Tours begin at Bailey Hall. U.S. taxpayer debt
The Bureau of Public Debt reported on Oct. 31 that the U.S. public debt was $17,156,117,102,204.49.
