As a lifelong resident of the state of Maine and proud graduate of Maine Maritime Academy, please join me in supporting Question 4 by casting a yes vote.

For over 70 years Maine Maritime Academy has successfully prepared young men and women for highly skilled jobs worldwide. Now more than ever, the qualities of a Maine Maritime education are essential for the 21st century. Leadership, honor, commitment and courage have been a hallmark of MMA graduates’ success for decades. These traits, coupled within a strong academic framework, will continue to ensure Maine Maritime Academy maintains its position as one of the top 10 regional colleges in the United States of America’s top-ranked maritime college.

For the first time in nearly 30 years, Maine Maritime seeks your support to construct new academic facilities which will advance engineering, science and research; bond funding will combine with private funds to build facilities which will prepare our students for successful careers in engineering, management, science and transportation. Your support will realize a strategic investment in education, employment and our state.

Please join me in supporting resources for our students and Maine Maritime Academy.
