As an instructor at the University of Southern Maine, I know how important education is to the success of the next generation. Education, especially early in life, is critical to the intellectual growth of our kids – the earlier they begin learning, the higher their educational attainment later in life will be.
Gorham residents – and especially our kids – are fortunate to have great schools, but there is always room to improve. That is why I am supporting Kyle Bailey for Gorham School Committee. Over the last six months, he has knocked on hundreds of doors, held numerous house parties, all the while taking tough questions from Gorham residents about how to make sure our kids get the best education possible within available resources. I appreciate his willingness to be available and accessible to voters.
We are fortunate to live in a wonderful community with good people, but our town needs positive, forward-looking leadership. I know Kyle Bailey will bring his strengths of budgeting, consensus building and transparency to the School Committee. Kyle is a hard hardworking, dedicated community member who would be an exceptional member of the School Committee.
I am pleased to support such a great candidate, and I hope you will join me in voting for Kyle on Nov. 5.
