Two Lakes Region men were arrested earlier this week for stealing three ATVs and a trailer from a Raymond residence.

On Monday at 5:15 p.m., Cumberland County sheriff’s deputy T. Patrick Ferriter made a routine traffic stop of a 1993 GMC Yukon towing a covered snowmobile trailer on Meadow Road (Route 121) in Casco.

According to Capt. Don Goulet, Ferriter determined that the trailer had been stolen from a residence in Raymond recently and that the three ATVs that were normally stored in the trailer were also missing. Through investigation the three ATVs were located at the property of one of the vehicle’s occupants in Casco. The stolen property had a value over $10,000.

Arrested was Dana S. Manchester II, 22, of 54 Winn Road, Bridgton. He was charged with four counts of class B theft. Also arrested was Zachariah J. Pelletier, 20, of 14 Sunny Mains, Naples, who was charged with four counts of class B theft and violation of bail conditions. He was out on bail for prior theft charges.

Pelletier remains at Cumberland County Jail pending arraignment in Portland Unified Court with no bail allowed due to his bail violation. Manchester was released after posting bail of $1,000 cash. His court date is set for Dec. 17 at 1 p.m. in Portland Unified Court.
