BRUNSWICK — Anne Marie Hagan, who was profiled in an award-winning national television documentary, will be speaking Sunday during the 10 a.m. service at the Unitarian-Universalist Church of Brunswick.

Her story, which she has been sharing across Canada for 11 years, includes an unexpected revelation when she came face to face with her father’s killer, 16 years after she had witnessed his violent murder in Kingman’s Cove, Newfoundland, in 1979.

The 30-year old man who committed the murder was her neighbor. Hagan became consumed with anger, bitterness, vengeance and selfpity.

What happened 16 years later became the subject of the documentary film, as well as a book she has written, to be released next year. This will be her first time visiting the United States.

The Unitarian-Universalist Church of Brunswick meets at the Minnie Brown Center, 906 Washington St., Bath. This is their temporary meeting-place until their new church is completed on Pleasant Street in Brunswick, which will replace the original church destroyed by fire.
