To the Editor:

The residents of District 6 need Jane Millett on the Brunswick Town Council.

Jane has lived in Brunswick for nearly 40 years. Her long history of involvement in Brunswick civic issues gives her a broad, well-informed perspective on the key issues facing the town.

For many years, Jane has attended both Town Council and School Board meetings as a concerned citizen; she has independently researched key issues and asked questions to help inform solutions. She understands what it takes to be an effective member of the Town Council and she will be a strong, articulate member of the Council from the first day.

Jane has extensive volunteer experience in Brunswick, including 10 years of service on the Brunswick Personnel Board and many years of work with the Brunswick Community Housing Coalition; she previously served on the Brunswick Comprehensive Zoning Committee. She has held leadership positions in the Merrymeeting Board of Realtors and the Maine Women’s Council of Realtors.

Jane’s years of experience in real estate will give valuable insights to the Council as it continues to engage in transactions involving important town facilities — facilities that shape the quality of life in downtown Brunswick.

In addition to her extensive experience, her understanding of key issues, and her technical skills, Jane is committed to ensuring that transparent processes are used to make important decisions in Brunswick: processes that welcome and carefully consider the voices of the people in District 6.

Please vote for Jane Millett for Brunswick Town Council. She will be a strong voice for our community.
