The Town & Country Federal Credit Union’s 2012 Better Neighbor Fund charitable giving campaign has been awarded a Bronze Award in the Overall Philanthropy Category at the New England Financial Marketing Awards held at the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Framingham, Mass.

The awards, which are designed to recognize the best in bank and credit union marketing initiatives, are presented by the New England Financial Marketing Association and open to all banks and credit unions, as well as the service companies that support them, in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.

This year’s Overall Philanthropy category had 28 finalists.

The Better Neighbor Fund is an online campaign where The Town & Country Federal Credit Union invites non-profits from Maine’s Cumberland and York Counties to nominate projects or initiatives to win a share of $25,000 in grants, with the winners being selected by public vote through the Credit Union’s Facebook pages.
