Thank you for your service to our country. Thank you for keeping us safe overseas and in our own backyard. Thank you for making me feel safe when I see you standing guard at our airports and train stations. Thank you for traveling to nursing homes to comfort the elderly and going to hospitals to bring happiness to sick children. Thank you for keeping my husband safe at night and protecting the town we live in. Thank you for leading the blind, helping veterans with PTSD, and the countless other ways you provide support within our homes. Thank you for keeping the criminals off our streets and providing security in our schools.
Unfortunately, the town of Scarborough feels differently about your service to our community and our country. I apologize but when you are off duty now you won’t be allowed to be ANYWHERE on public property unless you are leashed 365 days a year. You are asked to protect our community but apparently are too dangerous to be off leash. I think you all deserve medals around your neck for your loyalty, dedication and commitment. The town of Scarborough feels a leash will do.
