The Forecaster welcomes letters to the editor urging support for or opposition to political candidates and election-related issues. But in addition to adhering to our usual guidelines for civility, timeliness and public interest, election letters may not exceed 150 words and must be received by noon on Oct. 21; we do not publish election-related letters in the week immediately preceding Election Day, so the last of these letters will published in our editions of Oct. 23-25. Letters should be emailed to editor@theforecaster.net, and must include the writer’s name, address and telephone number.
