
She was born May 10, 1942, in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada, and grew up in Bath graduating from Morse High School in 1960. She retired from New England Telephone and Telegraph Company and moved to Florida in 1991.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Irene Newman of Bath, and one brother, Gary Newman of Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly Wood and husband Ronnie of Clarksville, Florida; two granddaughters, Kelley Wood of Tallahassee, Florida, and Kassie Wood of Clarksville, Florida; one grandson, Mathew Wood of Clarksville, Florida; one great-grandson Jayden Jackson of Clarksville, Florida; two sisters, Gail Wood and husband Ron of Clarksville, Florida, and Glenda Bickford and husband Elliot of Orange Park, Florida; two brothers, Grady Newman of Phippsburg, and Robert Newman Jr. of Portland.
Graveside services were held on Friday, September 20th at Clarksville Cemetery in Clarksville, Florida.
