Police are seeking a Richmond man who failed to appear in court last week to face charges of sexual aggression against a child.
Daniel N. Reusch Jr., 18, was arrested Aug. 8; police said he admitted to sending graphic images to a 13-year-old Wiscasset girl.
Acting on a court-ordered arrest warrant, Richmond police went looking for Reusch at his Harris Lane residence Monday morning.
Richmond Police Chief Scott Mac- Master said it appears Reusch left town this summer.
“He is no longer, as far as we can tell, living in Richmond,” MacMaster said. “I went out there this morning and checked on him, and he’s not living there anymore.”
Reusch was not in Wiscasset Dis- trict Court as scheduled Sept. 25, court records indicate. Reusch allegedly sent images of his genitalia, via the Internet, to the girl — a crime punishable by up to 364 days in jail and a $2,000 fine.
Scott Hayden, a Lincoln County Sheriff ’s detective, said after the arrest he believed “there might be more victims.”
Hayden said Reusch knew the girl through an online connection. The girl told Wiscasset police someone had sent her “inappropriate” images, Hayden said. Police confiscated Reusch’s computer and other electronic material.
