The Scarborough Public Library resumes its popular Armchair Traveler Series with a “virtual” trip to China on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 6:30 p.m. Scarborough resident, Mark Follansbee, will present “China: Misadventures along the Yangtze River & Beyond.”
The use of “misadventures” in the title is not an error. Sometimes, exploring outside of your comfort zone can bring the most unexpected experiences. That was the case for Follansbee, when a seven-day trip in June to Beijing, Wuhan, Yichang, Wudang, and Xiangyang presented many once-in-a-lifetime adventures and yes, some misadventures as well.
Enjoy a “pictorial journal” of Mark’s travels and explore the rich cultures of this vast East Asian country. The program is free and open to the public. For more information about this and other programming at the Scarborough Public Library, visit the library’s website at www.scarboroughlibrary.org.
Mark Follansbee, seen here in China, will present a “pictorial journal” of his recent travels to China at a Scarborough Public Library program, Oct. 2.
