Windham Primary School teacher Elaine Hawthorne and her second graders hold the bumper crop last week from the school’s garden. The raised-bed garden, known as A Place to Sow, Grow and Know, has been operational for three years. The produce is donated to the Windham Food Pantry, shared with family and friends or used in the cafeteria. The kids got to enjoy the vegetables as part of a tossed salad at lunch last Thursday.
