BRUNSWICK — The board of directors of Five Rivers Arts Alliance recently announced that Sheila Youmans has been appointed executive director of the alliance.
Karl Saila, president of the board, said, “Sheila brings significant experience and knowledge of nonprofit organizations and the abilities to fulfill the full range of duties of the position. Her 11 years as executive director of Family Focus, Bath, where she had oversight of the multi-location, multi-program nonprofit organization, will provide the expertise in financial management, fundraising and grant writing, community and public relations as well as working with the board and volunteers.”
The mission of Five Rivers Arts Alliance is to promote the arts and culture of the Mid-coast region. The alliance supports and promotes many art-related events and strives to provide ways for their member artists to participate and show their work. Membership is open to the artists, businesses and organizations that wish to support the growth and sustain the vibrant Mid-coast culture.
