The Bath Area Senior Citizens Activity Center’s BASIC Players will stage its first murder dinner — “The Thirteenth Guest,” a two-act tongue-in-cheek mystery, on Friday the 13th, in September.
The cast includes guest appearances by Wayne and Lynn Otto from Studio Theatre of Bath. Wayne recently finished a starring role in “Moon Over Buffalo” at the Chocolate Church Arts Center and is president of Studio Theatre of Bath.
Lynn Otto is an actress, singer and costume designer and appeared with Wayne in this year’s production of “Hot Chocolate Jubilee.”
“The Thirteenth Guest” was written by Armitage Trail and adapted for stage by Millie Ackley, who also directed the production. Ackley has directed all of the shows performed by the BASIC Players. She is also very active with the Harpswell Community Theater, as well as the Writers Group and Center Stage Players at The Theater Project and People Plus in Brunswick.
Tickets are $25 per person and must be purchased in advance at the Bath Area Senior Citizens Activity Center, 45 Floral St. Seating limited to 13 tables. Doors open at 5 p.m., for hors d’oeuvres with cast members.
