PORTLAND — Traffic was delayed in both the north and southbound lanes of Interstate 295 in Portland Tuesday afternoon following a single-vehicle crash.

The crash injured a single motorcycle rider, who apparently lost control of his Harley Davidson bike near the Deering Avenue overpass by Fitzpatrick Stadium.

The driver had to be transported by ambulance to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The crash took place around 3:30 p.m.

By late afternoon, traffic flow had returned to normal.
