Bean-hole bean supper – Saturday, Aug. 17, 4:30 p.m., United Church of Christ at North Gorham, intersection North Gorham and Standish Neck roads, Gorham. Three kinds of beans baked in a hole overnight, cole slaw, salads, brown bread, pies, coffee, tea or punch. $9, $4.

Bean supper – Saturday, Aug. 17, 4:30-6 p.m., West Scarborough United Methodist Church, Route 1, Scarborough. Baked pea, kidney and vegetarian beans, red and brown hot dogs, American chop suey, cole slaw, gelatin salads, rolls, brown bread and pies . $8, $3.

Bean supper – Saturday, Aug. 17, 5-6 p.m., Amvets Post 6, Route 100, New Gloucester. Two kinds of beans, brown bread, homemade biscuits, cole slaw, American chop suey and two tables of desserts. $7, $3.

Free meal – Wednesday, Aug. 21, 5-6 p.m., My Place Teen Center, 755 Main St, Westbrook. Sponsored in collaboration with Wayside Food Program and hosted by Trinity Lutheran Church and the teen center. Use Foster Street entrance; handicapped accessible.

Bean supper – Saturday, Aug. 24, 5 and 6 p.m., Cressey Road United Methodist Church, 81 Cressey Road, Gorham. Proceeds to benefit the bell choir. $8

Annual chicken barbecue – Saturday, Aug. 24, 5 and 5:45 p.m., First Congregational Church of Gray, Parish House, Brown Street (behind McDonalds), Gray. One-half chicken, baked potato, ear of corn, homemade biscuits, beverages and large selection of desserts. Take out available; handicapped accessible. $10, $5.
